This project marked a fresh chapter for a long-standing brand ready to modernise its online presence. The existing website felt dated, unprofessional, uninspiring and lacked warmth, so the goal was to create a look and experience that felt modern, chic, and elegant — yet still welcoming and true to the brand’s character.

As New Zealand’s leading stockist of Armadillo rugs, showcasing the product imagery beautifully was a key priority. A premium external Shopify theme was carefully researched and selected to achieve a more bespoke aesthetic, with a layout centred around full-width imagery, immersive carousels, and clean negative space to let the visuals take centre stage.

Beyond design, the project involved significant customisation and technical refinement. Custom coding was implemented to enhance key design elements and user interactions, while plugins were reconfigured to improve performance and functionality. I also supported the client with detailed product management — updating and optimising over 200 product listings, imagery, and descriptions — to ensure a smooth and cohesive experience from backend to front end.

The result is a refined, cohesive website that balances form and function, does justice to the Armadillo product imagery, and gives the client a timeless digital platform to continue growing from.
